Matching dryers to the wash process
Assess the workload
Select an industrial dryer around the weight and type of textiles that actually require drying. Towels, workwear and flatwork may follow different finishing routes. Identify which batches need full drying and which continue to another finishing stage.
Compare equipment under matching conditions
Check the stated loading basis, heat source and controls for the selected model. Cycle time depends on incoming moisture, textiles and programme. Trial your own textiles and compare washer and dryer queues before deciding on capacity.
Prepare for installation
Review exhaust and make-up air requirements, duct routes and access for lint cleaning against the installation manual. Have the responsible installer confirm electrical or fuel services.
Before you buy
Should dryer capacity simply match washer capacity?
Compare the loading basis and actual processing times of both models. Equal kilogram labels do not by themselves establish a balanced production line.
